Listen I love supporting my people but we have to do better. I didn’t get a chance to take a pic of everything but the food didn’t look like any of the videos. The chicken wings were burnt and they taste like they were fried in old grease. The mac and cheese was also burnt and the yams weren't peeled completely and didn’t taste good. Please do better.

Their food taste good. They’re pretty expensive, but it’s worth it. They take extremely long to serve you. They’re more busy in the back gossiping then taking the customers orders you can hear them clearly their conversations work, gossip if they could serve the people a little faster this would be awesome. I went there the other day just to get collard greens and it literally took 20 minutes. I thought that that was something that they just scoop out of the pan and put in one bowl. This is the main reason why I had to do this post so people can know if you think you’re gonna be helped right away, you can forget about that. They are extremely slow, but their food is good.

I ordered some oxtails, mac & cheese and cabbage. According to the restaurant menu and pictures, the cabbage is cooked in some sort of meat however, my cabbage taste like it was boiled in some kind of broth with crushed red peppers no seasoning. Oxtails are dry and very tough and undercooked. I also added two hot sauce at $.50 each for packets that you get for free when I physically walk into the establishment, I thought maybe it was going to be a little cup of hot sauce not two packets as you will see in the picture. I live approximately 2 1/2 blocks from the location so as I walked down there and stood outside and called the manager who the lady said will be back in 15 minutes. She looked at the phone while I was ringing it from outside and sent me to a voicemail that is already full not once but twice. They talk about too much personal stuff and gossip while at work not customer friendly at all.

As a self proclaimed food critic (lol), private chef, & a fellow Black American, I feel I am very qualified to give this review 😅. So first off!
The fried chicken was amazing! Extremely crispy & seasoned. REAL SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN. Add some hot sauce & it's even better!! Now 1-2 of the pieces were slightly burnt but it's absolutely okay because it made it even more homemade. I would give it a 9.
The collards green had a sweet smokey flavor that was nice. I personally like my collards more tangy than sweet but I know some Southerners do it that way. I however couldn't finish it because the sweetness was building up. I'd give it a 7.5.
The Mac was honestly disappointing. It had no seasoning at all & no cheese. The cheese was very mushy & tasted like uncooked roux. It tasted a bit like coconut milk too. The noodles were also really soft. I think if they fix the mac by seasoning with black pepper, garlic powder, seasoned salt, paprika, & a crazy amount of cheese, it would be soooo much better.
I would love to support again & I hope these suggestions are taken with love!

I’ve ordered the Small fried chicken Wingette, and everything was top-tier. I got mac & cheese, peas, and rice and fried chicken soft. It was just tew good, I’m from Atlanta and this beats everything I ever had. I’m in love I also got their lemonade, which is also so good, I’m mad I only got the little one. But yes 10/10

I ordered food for my boyfriend came all the way from the Bronx when I got here they were out of food. I rubbed my eyes. He said I’m rolling my eyes and I’m being rude because I rolled my eyes. I have no problem waiting or them being out of food but the service staff argues with customers that to take two hours to get here. Because the personality of the staff is crazy Rude!

I found this place from Instagram. Someone posted a video of them going in and ordering plus a food review. Based on that, I wanted to try it. My first time trying it the food was really good even though its not what I ordered since they were out of stock that day, but I enjoyed my meal. I decided to give them another shot, a different day. This time, my entire order got canceled because they were out of stock. I was disappointed 😞. I said the third time would be the charm, and I am glad that I was right. This time around, I waited a few weeks, and I ordered earlier in the day and got everything I ordered. The food tasted fresh and nice. I truly enjoyed my meal. I never had a fried porkchop before, and I enjoyed it. The food arrived hot too. That was the best part. I am happy that I gave them another try. Food 10 out of 10.

I ordered through Uber Eats however, I had to leave a review because the food was so good & I don’t understand all the bad reviews. I haven’t experienced the service but the food was delicious. I got fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and yams. I’m convinced many people haven’t had real soul food (this is real southern food not the fake stuff u see so often in NY/Brooklyn). Everything was soo good. Add corn bread into the mix and it would be a 10/10. Excited to try it again soon!

Stopped by this place at 12:23 PM hoping to grab some food after driving over an hour to get there. The owner was shockingly rude and completely unprofessional. I asked through the window what time they would open so I could plan to return, but instead of answering politely, the owner yelled from behind the counter saying they were closed—then walked off mid-conversation and completely ignored me.
There’s absolutely no reason to treat customers like that, especially when someone has gone out of their way to visit your business. I will never return and strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere where respect and basic courtesy still exist.
